For Me of Course! - Prince Blueblood's portrait

One aspect I like about this piece is the technique. Not only did you design the mane in the exact way that Prince Blueblood styles it, but you put detail in every single strand of hair, to the point where it feels like you can stroke your hand through it. The lighting is also spectacular. It almost looks like he's posing for a magazine. But what I love more about this drawing is how much personality you give it. First off, the expression you gave Blueblood perfectly captures the glib he displays on the show. Second, you made a wise decision to make the background blue purple, seeing how that can be considered a very romantic color, deceiving the viewer into what type of stallion Blueblood truly is.

Now there are a few criticisms I have to make. First off, I would actually move the cutie mark down beside Blueblood's head, rather than keeping it on the top right corner. It just looks a little too awkward to put in that place. If you were to crop the left side a bit and minimize the cutie mark by just a hair, I think you would be good. Speaking of cropping and hair, I think the left side of his mane looks a little too cropped. It's sort of like they were travelling in a straight line but then they get erased, and now they lead to nowhere. If you were to curve the hairs as they travelled behind his head, that would look more realistic.

Other than that, I think this piece is fair enough. I really enjoy how well this portrays the character of the arrogant Prince Blueblood. I'm glad that this was the first Prince Blueblood deviation I ever reviewed. Keep up the great work, MisiekPL!
